Callum Soong was born at 2331hr on the 20th May 2011, weighing in at 5 lb 10 oz.
We wish Gordon, Judy and baby Callum the very best!

Well the day has come and gone and what a day it was! Both Gordon and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for coming and sharing our special day with us. We had a wonderful time and hoped everyone enjoyed it as much as we did (judging by the antics on the dancefloor, I think it's safe to say you all had a good time!). It was important that we were in the presence of our family and friends, in what you can call the most important day of our lives. Thank you all so much for your generous gifts and well wishes, we are truly touched!

1 week to go!! Where has the time gone?! Since we've been back up home, it has been absolute non-stop. The last few days we've not slept until way past 2am and getting up early again the next morning for a packed day of appointments. We're not even on our hen or stag do's yet and we're totally shattered! Talking about hen do, us girls will be heading to Madrid for some fun in th sun, in 2 days time, while the boys are flying out to Krakov. We're so going to have a better time than the boys, hehe can't wait! I also picked up my dress today....woohoo! I was so scared I wasn't going to get it on time. It needs a few small alterations and Michelle has kindly offered to help me alter it....thanks Michelle!

Doesn't time just fly when you're having fun eh? It has been another productive weekend and it's our last down here in Swindon, before we travel back home on Friday. We hit the shops yesterday in a bid to buy some last minute items for the wedding and this included jewellery for me (yes I know I may have left this a bit late!), confetti for the tables and cake decorations. We have also finally finished putting together our 200 favours, as they were only half done before and were all scattered across the living room! Nerves are sky high, we got butterflies in our tummies and we're both filled with excitement! This is where the real countdown begins, 2 weeks and counting!!

Quick update, i'm still sane and all my hair is intact.. (just)! In the last week or so we've managed to tick a few more things off our never ending list, so that feels good. We've also now finalised our menu, click on the menu tab now to see what tasty offerings we have for you on the big day!
I really can't believe there's only 3 weeks to go, i'm feeling both excitied and nervous at the same time!

As I sit here and write this blog, I have just turned the grand old age of 26. I must say it doesn't feel any different to being 25, but I do feel older when I think about being called 'Mrs Soong' in a months time....yikes! First of all i'd like to apologise for the lack of updates, as you can imagine it's been pretty manic with everything happening. Since my last blog, I've had another busy trip back up to Bonnie Glasgow and had a few meetings arranged with the videographer, humanist and wedding coordinator. They all went well and it's good to know that most things are now in place for the big day. 32 days to go?! I swear that the counter in the corner counts down doubley fast!

Last weekend we went back home for a short trip and as per usual had planned a busy few days. This time round it was the guys to be stressing over what they were going to wear (ha! now you know what it feels like!). After trodding through the east end of Glasgow for hours, we finally decided on grey kilts and silver ties, as this will go nicely with the silver theme. Only 2 months to go now!!

Look out for your postie! Invites were mailed out today and should be on everyone's doorstop in the next few days. As with other things on the 'to-do' list, my main focus this week will be sorting out the favours. With a potential 200 guests, i'll be looking forward putting together 200 favours! After a few days of intensive ‘invites’ hunting online, I have finally found the perfect invites to go with our silver colour theme. But of course I can’t tell you about them here! That’ll spoil the surprise, so you’ll just have to wait till they land on your doorstep. The main thing is that they have now been ordered and I’m just checking through the proofs to give them the all clear to go ahead and print. So another thing to tick off the list....yay! Oh yeah Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!

98 days to the big day…argh! Can’t believe how fast the weeks are flying by at the moment. However I’m glad to say the wedding plans are in full swing and we have all the big things booked up, this includes the venue, photographer, videographer and minister. During our last trip back home we also bought our wedding bands and I have finally found my wedding dress!! Woohoo….what a relief! I was starting to panick a bit, especially when I walked into a dress shop last month and when I told the lady that my wedding was in May, she asked me “what this year?!” and I said “Uh huh”, her eyes litterally popped out her head in shock! Apart from that little scare, everything is under control! The next biggie on our to-do list are the invitations, we’re looking to get these in the post to you by the start of March….fingers crossed!
